The NOR840 is a single-actuation automatic drop seal designed for retrofit installation to the side face of hinged acoustic glass doors with 8mm glass thickness. Unlike the NOR830/831/832/833 under-glass mount family, the NOR840 housing is bonded to the side face of the glass door leaf the face visible when looking at the door from the front or rear rather than the underside. This side-glass mounting position is suited to hinged glass door configurations where the underside of the glass is not accessible, or where the door hardware or frame geometry requires the seal to be positioned on the side face. When the door closes, the actuator contacts the door stop and drives the seal carrier downward to close the gap between the seal and the floor. When the door opens, the carrier retracts.
